INVINCIBLE TIGER

If you’re an X-Box Live or Playstation Network subscriber, you may want to keep an eye out for INVINCIBLE TIGER: THE LEGEND OF HAN TAO, a fighting video game set for release by Bandai Namco Games on both console networks this summer.

This kung fu brawler from video game developer Blitz Arcade puts the player into the role of Hao Tao, the “General of a Thousand Victories,” who takes on the Evil Overlord and his minions in an effort to recover an artifact known as the Star of Destiny.

Described as a “hand-to-hand combat game,” INVINCIBLE TIGER features single-player, co-op and multiplayer fighting action involving acquired open-hand techniques, weapons handling and Zen-powered combos and finishing moves.

The style and presentation of INVINCIBLE TIGER is clearly inspired by 1970s-era kung fu movies. It looks as though it should appeal to fans of the similarly themed KUNG FU CHAOS and classic side-scrolling brawlers like the original STREET FIGHTER.

    ooooooo, i’m titallated! But it looks more like a 90′s Jet Li style game than anything from the 70′s. But I’m inclined to get an X-box Live thingy just for this little bitch. :)

    i have a ps3, so i might download it, i dunno… i like the idea of reliving the old ’70s kung fu flicks. take us back to the old shaw bros. days. well, the game is by namco, and they’re famous for the tekken and soul calibur series (love these games). and bandai is famous for some of the dragonball games, but they didn’t develop it, so hopefully they made a wise decision to release this title. namco takes anything from what they see in martial art movies, from bruce, to jackie, to even tony jaa. so they have a eye for good taste. lets just hope they have good taste in releasing this game. the title sounds like a kung fu movie huh? lol. sounds like a meng fei movie or something haha. the look is some what right, but the fighting, i dunno. its like your usual video game fights. it needs to be total old school, with the lau kar leung, yuen woo ping fights, where they go into forms with the rigid step by step fighting and so on.
