A second, longer trailer has been released for upcoming martial arts drama THE KARATE KID, starring Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan in a remake of the 1984 family classic.

It continues to look good with increasing potential to be Chan’s best Hollywood production to date. I still have issues with the misleading title but it appears that Sony is determined to stick with the original even though what Smith is being taught in the film is kung fu/wushu.

    lol.. i thought this was over and threw with … and out on dvd.
    it should be released straight to dvd. there is only one karate
    kid. this movie should be called little karate kid.

    very cool! Now it makes sense! They actually used “the best around” in this trailer and that was cool. i also like the fact that this is a kid, not a 30 year old playing a kid…no disrespect for the original karate kid but this looks good.

    The reason why this titile is name Karate Kid is because Dreamworks have the name Kung Fu registered and and US production movie that use the name Kung Fu would have to buy the rights from Dreamworks. In Hong Kong the name of the movie is The Kungfu Kid.

    umm lol visually it looks ok, but the dialogue… i mean omg, really bad. dunno how the movie will do.

    i still like that last scene where jackie's catching the fly haha.
