Eric Jacobus and fellow members of Southern California-based Stunt People team have contributed to a pair of new action short films. One is “Chapter 12: After the Subway,” a BOURNE IDENTITY-style short directed by Stu Maschwitz and the other is “Shapely Heroes – Snake’s Victim,” an homage to old school kung fu movies featuring “shapes,” otherwise known as traditional kung fu forms. The latter “shapes” film features Jacobus in a fight with Edward Kahana Jr.

The Stunt People are currently preparing to go into pre-production on DETOUR, a semi-sequel to their first no-budget, feature-length film CONTOUR.

For those not familiar with The Stunt People, they are home-grown stunt team specializing in Hong Kong-style fight choreography. Over the years the team and its founder Eric Jacobus have picked up a following among martial arts film fans thanks to a series of short films released online depicting a serious dedication to replicating the high-impact and often pain-inducing fight choreography originally produced by the likes of Sammo Hung, Jackie Chan and Corey Yuen.

Jacobus recently starred in director Micah Moore’s indie actioner DOGS OF CHINATOWN, which has currently been touring select screening venues around the country. The film will next be screened for free at The Garage in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on May 19th at .
