Scott Adkins and Marko Zaror in UNDISPUTED 3

The first trailer for action director Isaac Florentine’s highly anticipated prison brawling sequel UNDISPUTED 3 is here.

Interest in the film is gaining serious traction among fight fans, not only because it’s directed by arguably the best martial arts film director in the West but also because it represents the first onscreen match-up between two of the hottest rising martial arts stars outside of Asia, Britain’s Scott Adkins and Chile’s Marko Zaror.

UNDISPUTED 3 stars Adkins as Eastern European prison fighter Uri Boyka, the villain of UNDISPUTED 2 and now the hero who is looking for his chance to fight his way out of prison but to do so he’ll have to take on some of the toughest caged fighters in the world including Dolor (Zaror).

In addition to this trailer, dozens of new images from the set of UNDISPUTED 3 have appeared over at Scott Adkins Fanz. While over there, take note of Florentine showing off some of his real-life karate skills. It takes a martial artist to be a great martial arts director.

What's great is that Florentine, who operated a Shotokan karate school in his native Israel prior to his filmmaking career, had always been known to help with the choreography and assist the fight choreographer, as seen in the pics here and in the making of Undisputed 2.

The man that Florentine is kicking in the pic above in Undisputed 3's fight choreographer, Larnell Stovall.

Generally I would agree that Florentine is a good martial arts director. That's why it's so disappointing to see things in the trailer like someone throwing a huge uppercut which knocks the opponent two feet into the air. Stuff like that may have worked for some people back in the early “Rocky” movies, but it's no longer effective on any level except making a movie look cartoony. Stuff like that should be left in the comic books where it belongs.

  • r u serious??!!

interesting theory, so every guy that does a hong kong twist from a kick, or takes a side kick that sends him flying at least 10-20 feet back is a bad thing (then stay away from hong kong films buddy). Wait, how about when a hero hits one guy and knocks him out, but throws the same punch on other guys and has to hit them 5 times or more to knock them out…. smh.. your point has no validation, i guess your one of those guys who wants REAL martial arts on screen… so go watch self defense classes and mma matches, then combine the two and make your OWN movie. Yes, u are entitled to your opinion but that was one of the weakest things you could complain about…” a big guy hits a smaller guy with a HUGE uppercut and he files through the air”… this movie is gonna be so bad now…smh….FAIL…
