A wealth of media has turned up online to promote the upcoming release of RAGING PHOENIX, Thai martial arts starlet Jija Yanin’s second film. There is a trailer with English subtitles, new poster art and loads of production stills.
Yanin returns after starring in CHOCOLATE in what appears to be a plot involving her efforts to rescue another young girl from human traffickers.
Kazoo, a member of French martial arts team Trickz is Yanin’s action partner onscreen and according to earlier news, will be a love interest.
The trailers reveal an expansion of the B-boy dance fighting that briefly appeared in CHOCOLATE. While this mix of hip-hop dance and fighting has been done before in MISMATCHED COUPLES and THE CITY OF VIOLENCE, Panna Rittikrai’s action team appear to be taking it to new levels with increasingly innovative and creative choreography.
RAGING PHOENIX is heading to Thai theaters on August 12.
