300 director Zack Snyder is back with another ultra-stylized, fight-filled actioner and this one looks like his wildest yet.

An institutionalized young girl retreats into an alternate reality to cope while plotting her escape. Think PAN’S LABYRINTH meets KILL BILL with what appears to be a World War II setting with dragons, samurai and machine gun and sword-wielding schoolgirls. Basically, it looks like about a dozen Japanese anime and video game titles rolled into one live-action maelstrom.

SUCKER PUNCH stars Emily Browning, Vanessa Hudgens, Abbie Cornish, Jamie Chung, Jena Malone, Carla Gugino, Jon Hamm, Oscar Isaac, and Scott Glenn.

Fight choreography is handled once again by Damon Caro who also choreographed Snyder’s previous films.

Warner Bros. is co-producing the film with Legendary Pictures and planning a release in 2011.
