There was also talk of a DRAGON GATE INN remake too that has yet to materialize. I wonder if Chinese filmmakers are hesitant to redo works by King Hu. It's like remaking an Akira Kurosawa film. No one wants to be unfavorably compared to a master of their respective work. However, Tsui Hark did a great job of re-imagining Chang Cheh's ONE-ARMED SWORDSMAN with THE BLADE. I've been on the fence about buying another copy of the film, especially with IVL's good commentary, but the improved widescreen transfer on the DD release might persuade me.In her IVL interview, Cheng Pei-pei's daughter Marsha Yuen spoke of making a sequel to "Come Drink With Me" and even mentioned that they had gotten the original screenwriter to work on the project. As that was several years ago and I've heard nothing since, is it safe to assume that the project never got off the ground? Does anyone know?
