This region 3 DVD release of the restored Shaw Brothers horror classic GHOST EYES from Hong Kong-based Intercontinental Video Limited comes with the usual assortment of lackluster features and bonus content that collectors have come to expect from the distributor but at least there is no remixed soundtrack. To my best knowledge this is the only DVD release of this movie available.

Image quality is very good, if a little lacking in vibrancy with regard to colors and contrast. Only an original Mandarin audio track in two-channel mono is provided. Removable English subtitles are adequate.

Trailers - Celestial Pictures-made trailers for GHOST EYES, HEX, THE SIAMESE TWINS, BLACK MAGIC, and THE BRIDE FROM HELL.

Photo Gallery - A small collection of behind-the-scenes pics with notes and movie stills.

Original Poster - For once, I genuinely love the original poster art for a Shaw Brothers movie. Rarely is Hong Kong poster art so minimalist, effective and representative of the movie in question.

Production Notes - A joke as usual. This is nothing but a poorly written mini synopsis.

Biography & Selected Filmography - Chinese and English-language profiles of Chen Szu-chia, Ha Ping (as Hsia Ping), Lin Wei-tu, Szu Wei (as Antonio Ho), and Kwei Chih-hung (as Kuei Chih-hung).
