This release is the first licensed version of the original, Japanese-language print of BABY CART IN PERIL on DVD in the U.S. AnimEigo has since released the same title in a six-disc box set that contains all of the LONE WOLF AND CUB films. They also released an English-language version of the same movie under the title of SHOGUN ASSASSIN 3: BABY CART IN PERIL.
Buyers should steer clear of Artsmagic’s inferior version of BABY CART IN PERIL which was released in the U.K.
What the disc lacks in its unattractive cover art and menus, it makes up for in a clean 16×9 print, crisp original Japanese mono audio and carefully translated English subtitles.

Program Notes – Four “pages” of film-related notes appear on the disc.
