Second trailer for Isaac Florentine’s ‘Ninja’

NINJA (2009) A second, shorter trailer for Isaac Florentine’s NINJA starring Scott Adkins has been released. There are a few snippets of action footage not previously seen but there is nothing here that will likely alter initial impressions formed by the first trailer or the preview of a rooftop fight sequence.

I’m still enthusiastic about this movie despite mixed reception of initial footage within the fan community. Although it possesses a direct-to-video budget and footage has so far played down what looks like thin plotting and characters, the film still looks like a fun martial arts actioner that could provide Adkins with a great opportunity to show off his dynamic screen-fighting skills.

Having just viewed TERMINATOR SALVATION, I cannot say that the majors are doing any better at providing engaging storytelling with their genre action than indie filmmakers. Of course, the real comparisons will begin when we start to see footage from other upcoming ninja flicks, NINJA ASSASSIN and THE LAST NINJA.

I never thought the ninja would be so American. Come on common sense people use someone like Steven Chow. That's like making a basketball movie but using all midgets.
  • Definitely an improvement over the last clip. Looks like they took the negative comments in earnest. I feel a lot better about this film's potential now.
  • Looks good to me! Second trailer much better!

I still dont believed why the MA fans are not liking this trailer, the real figthing is there and like I said beore the movie looks in real time and you got the 80s ninja feeling as well and you got 2 people (Adkins and Florentine) that are trying to bring real martial arts figthing to the big screen, what else do you want, I may be the only one that is looking forward more to this film then Ninja Assasin.

I continue to have very mixed feelings about this movie. I see something that looks good and then a couple of seconds later I see something that looks horrible. (Probably the worst thing so far was the "Bad Super Ninja" gliding off the roof with his female captive in one of the other trailers.) And that will probably be my reaction to the movie when it finally comes out - some good stuff, some bad stuff, and mostly just wishing it could have been better.

I think we should give Florentine/Adkins team a chance and watch this movie for what it is.. don't go to see this as if you're going to see Citizen Kane, this is just a ninja action movie.

fellow brothers of the kung fu movie world, i like you await for this movie to deliver, the trailer is only a glimpse of what is going to unfold throughout the film, let us support Scott as well as Issac who have delivered unto us an entertaining film. By no means is this Undiputed 2 (great film) but I will definitely be there for its release and await for undisputed 3

    .......

I'm sorry, every time I see flick like this, I get flashes of 'Dances with wolves' & Gymkata.

Are we seeing the connection to the three?
