A new trailer for Guy Ritchie’s SHERLOCK HOLMES has been released. It’s similar to the first trailer but includes some new action footage to make this reinvention of the Sherlock Holmes property even more attractive to action buffs. We have previously covered the details of Ritchie’s more action-oriented take, specifically with regard to Holmes’ use of bartitsu martial arts in a related article.
Based on Lionel Wigram’s upcoming comic book which in turn is based on the mystery novels of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, SHERLOCK HOLMES stars Robert Downey Jr. as the eccentric, 19th-century British detective teamed up with his faithful partner and biographer Dr. Watson (Jude Law) to use wits and brawn to take on a nemesis who threatens all of England.
The film is scheduled for wide release on December 25 but attendees of the San Diego Comic Con will have a chance to get an advance look when Warner Bros. presents SHERLOCK HOLMES at the convention on Thursday, July 23.
