Celestial Pictures has announced a deal to bring select Shaw Brothers classics to residents of Canada via On Demand through Rogers Cable Communications, the country’s leading cable-system operator.
Over 20 titles will be available at a time from all genres. The lineup includes THE KINGDOM AND THE BEAUTY, THE 14 AMAZONS, THE DUEL, and HONG KONG NOCTURNE. Titles will be refreshed on a regular basis.
Celestial’s Shaw Brothers films will be available through Rogers On Demand on channel 600 starting at $1.99 per film.
This is great news for our friends up north. Now it’s time for U.S. residents to start calling Comcast and Charter to encourage these companies to do the same for us after having lost Kung Fu HD.
