BLADE director Stephen Norrington has signed on with Legendary Pictures to write and direct THE LOST PATROL.
According to The Hollywood Reporter the plot is described as “a supernatural action thriller set against the backdrop of World War II.
Norrington says the project contains “hardware, heroes, grime, insane monsters.”
The filmmaker has been laying low since opting out of a live-action feature film based on the AKIRA manga after releasing THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN in 2003. It’s a film that did not score well with fans of Alan Moore’s source comic book. Now he appears back in action on two fronts. In addition to THE LOST PATROL, Norrington is also planning to direct a redo of THE CROW.
