Action star and filmmaker Dolph Lundgren is turning up everywhere these days. UNIVERSAL SOLDIER: REGENERATION, with Lundgren and Jean-Claude Van Damme came out on home video last week in the U.S. and now his latest self-directed actioner, ICARUS, is headed to Canada’s premium channel Movie Central. It premieres on the TV station on Tuesday, February 9 at 9pm MT.

There were those who called him Icarus. Everyone else knew him as Edward Genn (Lundgren), a divorced father working for an investment company. But they didn’t know his other side—his dark side as a trained KGB assassin. Fighting for his life, Edward Genn or Icarus is forced to face the demons of his past to protect the loved ones in his present. He must fight to save the only thing he’s ever done right in his life. He needs to uncover who is after him and protect his family—before it’s too late.

ICARUS also stars Stefanie Von Pfetten, Samantha Ferris and Bo Svenson.

Fight choreography for ICARUS is by Lauro Chartrand (A DANGEROUS MAN) and Barry Evans (COMMAND PERFORMANCE). Chartrand is moving up in the world as an action director. He’s directing his first two feature films this year, CHEMICAL EVIL and BORN TO RAISE HELL. CHEMICAL EVIL is a zombie actioner that doesn’t look very scary but appears loaded with stunt work. Check out the teaser below.

As for Lundgren, he will next be seen in Sylvester Stallone’s highly anticipated actioner THE EXPENDABLES which is due out in theaters on August 13, 2010.
