Danny Trejo It has been confirmed by the actor himself that Danny Trejo will not be appearing in Sylvester Stallone’s THE EXPENDABLES despite rumors to the contrary. Film site Gordon and the Whale caught up with Trejo at CineVegas where he stated that he had never even been asked to play a role.

On a happier note, Trejo also confirmed that he had just spoken with filmmaker Robert Rodriguez who told him that production would begin on MACHETE in five weeks.

MACHETE is a long-in-development pet project of Rodriguez that first saw the light of day in a mock trailer attached to the GRINDHOUSE double feature. The film is meant to be a possible action franchise for Trejo.

I wanted to see Danny Trejo in the Expendables with all the big stars because he is a cool actor and i like his persona in the movies. He plays a good bad guy in any movie. IT would help his career more, but I am glad Machete is being done. The trailer look good and I hope it will be in the way. Good News for Danny Trejo. Can't wait to see it..
