UPDATE: UK release date for Isaac Florentine’s ‘Ninja’

Update: The U.K. DVD and Blu-ray release date for NINJA has been pushed back to March 31, 2010.

Isaac Florentine’s martial arts actioner NINJA, starring Scott Adkins, will be making its debut in Malaysian theaters on October 22. The film will premiere on DVD and Blu-ray in the U.K. on November 23 courtesy of Lionsgate.

In NINJA, a Westerner named Casey (Adkins) who is studying ninjitsu in Japan is asked by his sensei to return to New York to protect a chest containing the weapons of the last Koga ninja.

    I've been waiting for this movie for a long time, because it is about ninjas. But to me it looks more like power rangers. I hope Ninja Assassin will be better

    This looks likea modern day Mortal Kombat film that features Scorpion's and Sub-Zero's story arch to me. Anyway can't be worse than Surf Ninjas!LOL!

    WIth simple and honest marketing this would do fine in theaters. It's no blockbuster, but it's not a huge budget film so it doesn't really need to be one. All it needs to do is make more money than it cost to produce and sell - and I bet it could easily achieve that with non-retarded marketing. The trick is finding someone in marketing who isn't retarded.

    i hate to say it but i think this movie would die a horrible death in theatres. it just looks too low budget for a theatre release.

    I'm kind of upset its not getting a wider screen release and is basically straight to video. Would have been nice to finally see some good fighting on the big screen again

    interesting. it comes out 2 days before Ninja Assassin. man thats gonna be a great weekend, plus my birthday is that week. awesome!
