It’s been circulating for two weeks but in case someone missed it, here is the trailer for the upcoming X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE movie where Hugh Jackman reprises his role from the X-MEN trilogy in a spin-off film that goes into the character’s origins.

Of note, martial arts actor Scott Adkins — not seen in the trailer as far as I can tell — has a supporting role as a Weapon X member. Action choreography was provided by Chad Stahelski (NINJA ASSASSIN), David Leitch (BANGKOK DANGEROUS) and Glenn Boswell (4: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER).

I was collecting X-MEN-related comics in middle school when a lot of the Wolverine origin stories and more mature graphic novels were coming out. After looking at the trailer I ‘m a little under-whelmed. I would have liked to see a grittier and more stylized depiction of Wolverine in his first solo outing. I wish they had cast someone like Mickey Rourke to play Sabretooth instead of the clean-cut Liev Schreiber. I wish I could see some blood and down and dirty brawling instead of hyper-jumping onto army helicopters. But if similar production design decisions proved a success for the X-MEN films they will probably work again for this one.

deadpool was my favorite when i was collecting, frivilously, comic books at a young age. but it appears, what ever i loved about Deadpool is gonna be devastating. I believe he is the guy with the swords. No deformities or that kick-ass costume he wore. i'm wait to see if they get his personality right. as far as the movie is concerned, i'm hoping for something plausible.

i think the movie looks fine. i have no problem with the guy playing Sabertooth and i heard the movie IS going to be violent and gritty. we all know they couldnt make it rated R or the teenyboppers couldnt see it. im hoping for an unrated version when it hits DVD. i loved tthe trailer and all my comic book nerd fans did too.

I hope that they can start crossing the marvel characters over soon? like Wolverine Vs The punisher, now that would be good.

Scott is in there. at least I'm pretty sure the leaping guy with the claws at 1:55 is him as "Weapon 11"

I always thought the first Wolverine mini series where he goes to Japan, would make an excellent movie.
