Director Tsui Hark puts a new spin on his wuxia classic DRAGON INN (1992), itself a remake of King Hu’s 1967 swordplay film. It will be the first wuxia film shot as a 3-D movie. Jet Li, Fan Siu-wong and Zhou Xun star. Action director is Yuen Bun. The two previous “Dragon Inn” films dealt with an evil, white-haired eunuch, acting as an assassin for the Emperor, who tracks down heroic rebels taking refuge at an inn located in China’s remote western region. Release is set for December 2011.
